Teacher Training Course

We are committed to sharing the history and principles of Yoga with a strong emphasis on safety, empathy and genuine passion for personal attention. The course is evenly scheduled to ensure you learn at a pace that allows you to grasp the concepts confidently to teach in a class setting or on a one to one basis.  

 

With your new found knowledge, you will be able to teach your students with your head, as a direct result of your theory based learning and also teach from your heart as a result of your practical learning. How do I become a Yoga teacher?

 

You have already taken the first step to becoming a Yoga teacher by enquiring with PY4U.  It is important to know this course is not just for people who feel they may want to teach yoga but also those who want to deepen their knowledge about Yoga.

 

During your teacher training you will learn, practice, and teach the following:

  • Mixed levels of Hatha yoga

  • Pranayama (breathing techniques) 

  • Meditation

  • Chanting 

  • Yoga anatomy / physiology including subtle body e.g. chakras

  • Yoga history and philosophy e.g. yoga sutras

  • Teaching modifications and adjustments 

  • Sanskrit names of postures (asanas)

  • Kriya (Cleansing)

  • How to develop intention and meaning to the practice Business and ethics of yoga 

  • Qualities of a yoga instructor

In his teaching approach, David looks to bring awareness through motion and balance, to find strength in flexibility and bring union between the body and soul. Annie has been a health and fitness Tutor for over 30 years. She has a wealth of knowledge to share and equally her experience within the health & fitness industry is vast. Annie has been a Yoga teacher for 9 years and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing students grow whilst they evolve into teachers that can deliver safe and effective classes.
